Install Deadbolt Metal Door Jamb
Use a 2 1 8 inch hole saw to drill the hole for the deadbolt lock assembly.
Install deadbolt metal door jamb. I had everything lined and and started to drill. Screw deadbolt mechanism to door with keyed cylinder on the outside and turn lever on inside. As i began to drill i suddenly relialized that my doorjamb was made of metal.

Chisel out mortise for deadbolt. The bolt sleeve would not embed inside. As noted above this step is optional.
Use strike plate to mark deadbolt hole on doorjamb. Mark the jamb for the strike plate and box by coating the bolt end with lipstick install the cylinder and bolt first. If your template does not encase both sides of the door drill a pilot hole first.
Next mark the profile of the strike plate on the jamb. Drill deadbolt hole in jamb with spade bit. I finished the installation of the actual deadbolt setup into the door and was going to move on the strike plate.
The inner side of the door where bolt sleeve plate would be attached is flat. Close the door throw bolt to leave mark on doorjamb. I was almost done installing a new deadbolt into our door.
